The work was created by the company in 2016 as an act of solidarity and statement of belief in the right for LGBTQ community to have public space. The program speaks back to the history of homophobia and the power of community celebration. The violent attack required a response - this program is both a celebration of individuals and about community love. The piece creates a club atmosphere with high energy music and fast paced dance reminding us to celebrate our lives and community. The post performance dialogue includes a conversation about the role public dance / space has played in the LGBTQ communties, especially southern towns.
